Terms of Service & Refund Policy

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Ashtvak ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these terms, you may not access the Service. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, with changes effective upon posting. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Ashtvak. By using the Service, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

3. Account Registration & Security

To access certain features, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration.
• Maintain the security of your account credentials.
• Notify us immediately at ashtvak.help@gmail.com of any unauthorized account access.
• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
• Not share your account with or transfer it to any other person.

4. Permitted Use

You agree to use Ashtvak only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You specifically agree not to:

• Reproduce, redistribute, or resell any content from the Service without written permission.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to extract data from the Service.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack the Service.
• Upload malicious code or attempt to compromise the Service's security.
• Use the Service to engage in fraud, harassment, or any illegal activity.
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation.

5. Pricing

Ashtvak is currently free to use. No payment method is collected and no charges are made.

Paid plans may be introduced in future. If they are, these Terms will be updated and published before any payment is collected. All prices would be in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes, and card details would be handled by our payment processor, never stored by Ashtvak.

6. Refund Policy

This policy applies only when paid plans are available. Ashtvak is currently free and collects no payments, so no refunds arise today.

Due to the digital and immediately-consumed nature of AI-generated astrological reports, all purchases are generally non-refundable once a premium report has been generated and delivered.

However, we offer a refund or credit in the following circumstances:

• Technical failure: If a premium report fails to generate due to a platform error, you are entitled to a full refund or re-generation at no cost.
• Duplicate charge: If you are charged twice for the same report, the duplicate charge will be refunded within 7 business days.
• Significant inaccuracy: If the chart generated uses demonstrably incorrect inputs (e.g., wrong date due to a platform bug), contact us within 48 hours for review.

To request a refund, email ashtvak.help@gmail.com with your order details. Refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days, subject to approval.

Dissatisfaction with astrological content alone does not qualify for a refund, as interpretive differences are inherent to astrology and are not platform errors.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including the software, design, text, graphics, and AI models — are the exclusive property of Ashtvak and its licensors, protected by Indian and international intellectual property laws. Your use of the Service grants you no ownership of any such property. You retain ownership of birth data you provide, and grant Ashtvak a limited license to process it for the purpose of generating your reports.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, third parties, or the Service. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting ashtvak.help@gmail.com. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately.

9. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, specifically the Information Technology Act, 2000 and applicable Consumer Protection laws. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. We encourage you to first contact us at ashtvak.help@gmail.com to resolve disputes amicably.
